Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Local celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, commented directly about the victory.

However, the team owner was met with a cooler welcome at the celebration. Video footage from the event seem to depict him walking onstage to a mix of cheers and boos, with jeers interrupting his speech.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.
